If you’re looking for a dining experience that is If you’re looking for a dining experience that is a blend of fun and colorful art and delicious (and just as colorful) food, you won’t want to miss @ugiancu. Located in the hills above Rapallo, it feels like a hidden paradise. Rapallo has a longstanding history with comics and cartoonists and they’ve all seemed to have dined at U Giancu - now every corner is filled with drawings, cartoons, and paintings.

They have a farm to table concept (in fact, you’ll see all of the fresh vegetables and produce of the day as soon as you walk in) and the food is delicious.

Make a reservation to ensure a slot as you won’t want to miss an incredible dinner in Liguria here.

It felt like one of the busier and more social months I’ve had in a while after hibernating most of Q1. Italian summer is just around the corner, but I’m soaking up these spring moments.

Even if you missed Milan Design Week, there are pl Even if you missed Milan Design Week, there are plenty of incredible exhibitions to see. I recently saw The Alchemist by Anselm Kiefer. It features 42 paintings of women who practiced alchemy. Each painting is over 16 ft tall and 10 ft wide!!

We were lucky enough to receive a guided tour by @giulia.bonetti1 - she frequently provides guided tours of exhibitions and it completely changed the experience!

You can enjoy these massive canvases exploring themes of mythology, destruction, and rebirth right in the center of Milan. The exhibition is going on now through September at Palazzo Reale so don’t miss out!

This is the first year I’ve TRULY experienced a Mi This is the first year I’ve TRULY experienced a Milan Design Week.

In 2024, I happened to be on a trip with out of town visitors for most of it. Last year, I had been told the city gets too crazy so it’s best to avoid certain spaces. This year, realizing I am fortunate to LIVE in the city putting on this event, started to map out some places to visit.

Is the city extremely busy and are some lines out of control? Yes. But it feels like the city is pulsating with new life after hibernating during the rainy Milan winter season. I feel so foolish for living here and essentially living under a rock - not understanding how big this event is for the city!

I also had been under the false impression that only a few, select events are open to the public and due to the limitations, lines with be crazy and I won’t get in. To my elation, almost all the exhibitions are free access (but yes, some evening events are invite-only).

With thoughtful planning I didn’t wait in a line for more than 10 minutes, but still saw some of the most popular displays.

I really fell in love with Milan all over again this week. 💖
