The Best Brunch Spots in Milan, Italy

The Best Brunch Spots in Milan, Italy

As an American, the weekend can truly mean one thing for a food lover: brunch. Yes, that perfect mid-day meal with friends to recap the week together. I was nervous that Italy wouldn’t have the type of brunch I was used to (eggs benedict, avocado toast, thick slices of bacon). Fortunately, Milan has some of the BEST brunch spots in all of Italy. The only difference is Italians don’t seem very keen on bottomless Bloody Mary’s or mimosas, which, alas, I suppose I can live without. Check out my favorite brunch spots in Milan!

LùBar – Via Palestro, 16

If you want to grab something to eat at LùBar, be sure to book a table in advance! Both locals and visitors fawn over this charming restaurant. The quaint setting makes you feel like you’re in a greenhouse, surrounded by greenery and charm.

Pandenus

Pandenus has a couple locations in the city and their weekend brunch will definitely leave you satisfied. I also love the selection of fresh juice mixes you can order. In addition to a large selection of pastries, they serve large brunch standards like Eggs Benedict topped with salmon.

Deus Cafe – Via Genova Thaon di Revel, 3

Another popular brunch spot in Milan is Deus Cafe. The menu is full of high-quality meals and served in a good size portion. After you fill up on brunch, be sure to meander their edgy clothing store attached to the restaurant!

Hygge – Via Giuseppe Sapeto, 3

Inspired by the cozy and comforting Danish word, Hygge has proven to be a hot-spot for brunch in Milan. Brunch is a flat rate and you can choose a main, 2 sides, and a dessert. I love any place that is making sure I get something sweet at the end of my meal!

oTTo – Via Paolo Sarpi, 10

Located in the heart of Chinatown, you’ll stumble upon oTTo. When the weather is warm, try to grab a seat on their outdoor terrace. You look over the menu and select four small plates to complete your brunch. It allows you to get a nice tasting of their offerings!

I promise any of these Milan brunch locations will satisfy your stomach! Let me know if you have any other local favorites as I’ll be sure to explore them for research purposes. 🙂

For those who missed it, we bought an apartment in Milan! After months of going over design and layout updates, we have kicked off demos! I am sad to see our beautiful wood floors go but because of the building’s heating system (partially in the floor) that needs to be replaced and some mold, we said goodbye. 😓 We will be replacing with something hopefully as equally beautiful.

Let’s see if I’m strong enough for all of the keyboard warriors with their opinions LOL. Either way, I’m excited this project is underway!
