Ciao! I’m an American living in Italy (or should I Ciao! I’m an American living in Italy (or should I say a survivor of living in Italy as it certainly feels that way with the beauracracy at times).

Some people pointed out my part 1 rankings were too “positive.” And then I laughed to myself thinking if only they knew as there are MANY parts to this story and most of them are a struggle 🤣

Here is a more realistic post of some tasks I’ve dealt with during my new life in Italy. At least getting the phone was easy??

If you are moving to Italy what concerns you the most?

Looking for a romantic and beautiful spot overlook Looking for a romantic and beautiful spot overlooking Capri and the Sorrento Coast? Make sure you have @relaisblu on your radar. ☀️

It is a boutique hotel and restaurant that has incredible views and is located just a short drive from Sorrento. The service and dining are absolutely 10/10 experience and the views are priceless.

Make sure to save this spot while planning your trip to Sorrento!

Life in Italy is always magical BUT an Italian sum Life in Italy is always magical BUT an Italian summer is unbeatable.

I keep telling myself I need to slow down…and do I? No. But I need to start (easier said than done for a Type A personality who cannot sit still). Here are some of my adventures from June.

1. Celebrating a wedding in Sorrento at @villaangelinaofficial
2. An incredible wine tasting with @cantina_lascesa in the Tuscan countryside.
3. Enjoying an epic boat day with @maramarboattour and swimming and exploring all around Capri.
4. The views from a dreamy dinner at @relaisblu.
5. Making progress on our Milan apartment renovation! Will be sharing more videos soon 🙏🏼
6. Had a unique experience to visit a slate quarry in Liguria and learn more up close!
7. Quickly realized white shoes and a dress probably weren’t the best outfit for this type of visit LOL.
8. A morning in Sestri Levante (Liguria) at the Bay of Silence.
9. Visiting the room we got married in!!!! 🥹 I realized I never gave a recap of our wedding recap - I will have to do that.
10. Visiting a historic demask factory in Liguria - they are still using traditional machines!
11. These are the beautiful results - sharing more on this soon as well.
12. Snuck in a weekend in the Dolomites, which means a necessary pitstop of Lago Di Carezza.
13. I love the sea in summer but sometimes I also need a quick taste of the mountains.

We hit it all! City, sea, mountains, countryside…I’m tired 😅

I am so far behind on sharing some fun updates (as always).

Make sure to follow me for more of my Italian adventures.

Everyone wants to visit Cinque Terre and Portofino Everyone wants to visit Cinque Terre and Portofino if they’re in Liguria, but almost no one knows that Liguria once supplire the slate for most of Europe’s blackboards and pool tables!

I got the unique experience to tag along and see them bringing back this tradition and mining slate up close and personal! These quarries are reached through tunnels carved directly into the mountains so it feels like you’re entering a cave vs an open-pit mine!

This region has been quarrying slate (artesia) since the 12th century - maybe even earlier! This was such a fun experience to see a behind the scenes process come to life and learn more about a local Ligurian trade!
