The Best Cafes in Porta Venezia, Milan

The Best Cafes in Porta Venezia, Milan

Porta Venezia is a favorite neighborhood of many Milanese and expats living in Milan. It has so much to offer: a bustling expat community, access to some incredible shopping on Corso Buenos Aires, and a bustling nightlife. It also is full of great spots to visit in the morning or afternoon to grab a coffee or a pastry. Here is my list of the best cafes in Porta Venezia, Milan

Table of Contents

  • Gelsomina
  • Pave
  • Orsonero
  • Egalite

Gelsomina

If you’re looking for a aesthetic spot for a coffee and a study break or an easy-breezy weekend, then you’ll like Gelsomina. The inside has plenty of seating and is bright, which makes it a great spot for smart-working or meeting up with friends.

Pave

One of my favorite spots in Porta Venezia is Pave. They are famous for serving year-round delicious panettone. They also offer a large selection of wrapped items which make great gifts or edible souvenirs.

Orsonero

If you’re craving a cold brew on a hot summer day, look no further than Orsonero. There is limited seating on the inside, so it is best to get here early if you’d like to eat and drink inside.

Egalite

Egalite is a French bakery serves up deliciously fresh-baked croissants, brioche, baguettes and more! You can sit outside on the terrace or there is plenty of seating inside.

Since we’re in the Motherland of good coffee and pastries (ahem, Italy), there are amazing cafes on every corner. That being said, this is just my personalized list of the best cafes in Porta Venezia.

For those who missed it, we bought an apartment in Milan! After months of going over design and layout updates, we have kicked off demos! I am sad to see our beautiful wood floors go but because of the building’s heating system (partially in the floor) that needs to be replaced and some mold, we said goodbye. 😓 We will be replacing with something hopefully as equally beautiful.

Let’s see if I’m strong enough for all of the keyboard warriors with their opinions LOL. Either way, I’m excited this project is underway!
