10 Best Restaurants in Lincoln Park, Chicago

10 Best Restaurants in Lincoln Park, Chicago

A bit north of the downtown core, you will find some of the best restaurants in Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park has much more of a community-neighborhood vibe compared to the more urban neighborhoods of Chicago. Keep reading to check out the best restaurants in Lincoln Park! Scroll to the bottom to see my best restaurant lists for other Chicago neighborhoods.

Table of Contents

  • Café Ba-Ba-Reeba! – Energetic Atmosphere, Delicious Tapas
  • Summerhouse Santa Monica – Transport to the West Coast
  • Parson’s Chicken and Fish – Lively Patio
  • Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company – Big Pizza Pie
  • 5. Mon Ami Gabi – French Bistro with Quaint Patio
  • Del Seoul – Korean Street Food
  • Galit – Middle Eastern Magic
  • Ranalli’s – Pizza, Patio, Party

  • Barcocina – Modern Mexican

Café Ba-Ba-Reeba! – Energetic Atmosphere, Delicious Tapas

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba is a Chicago favorite – it definitely deserves the #1 spot for best restaurants in Lincoln Park. They serve up delicious sangria and incredible tapas and pintxos. It is sharing-style, so order a variety of plates and prepare to be wowed!

Summerhouse Santa Monica – Transport to the West Coast

You may think I made a mistake and added Best Restaurants in California compared to Best Restaurants in Lincoln Park. I didn’t! Summerhouse Santa Monica is a brightly lit and welcoming. The menu is quite large and typically offers seasonal specials in addition to a range of salads and sandwiches to pizza and steaks.

Parson’s Chicken and Fish – Lively Patio

Parson’s is well-known for their delicious chicken and fish options. However, they also have become a staple for their frozen Negroni. The Lincoln Park patio is always bustling on a summer day and you will not be disappointed with your meal. The hardest part is choosing if you want chicken or fish!

Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company – Big Pizza Pie

Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company has been around forever. It makes the best Lincoln Park restaurants list because it doesn’t cave to the typical deep dish of the city and has its own flair. Inside feels cozy with the large wooden booths in the historical building. While there are other options on the menu, you simply must order the pizza pot pie.

5. Mon Ami Gabi – French Bistro with Quaint Patio

I am usually not the biggest French cuisine fan (I know, sue me), but Mon Ami Gabi is too cute not to love! Share some hors d’oeuvres or go for the steak – keep in mind they also have a fabulous Sunday Brunch. I recommend trying to sit out on the patio, if possible!

Del Seoul – Korean Street Food

Del Seoul is just *chef’s kiss.* The food incredibly affordable for the quality/taste you get, so load up a big sampler of items to try out. There is not too much of an atmosphere inside, so on a nice day I advise ordering to go and eating outside near North Pond or the Lakefront Trail.

Galit – Middle Eastern Magic

If you want healthy, delicious Middle Eastern food then you need to try Galit. Galit is definitely one of the best restaurants in Lincoln Park. They do a great job at breaking down the menu and explaining what items are shareable and which are individual portions. My favorites: the lamb, falafel, and hummus (duh).

Ranalli’s – Pizza, Patio, Party

The Ranalli’s patio on a nice night is JAMMIN’. This fun-loving joint, most-known for the pizza, always has a fun, young crowd. There are constantly fun events here (I’m talking Bachelor watch nights with specials) and you’ll fit right in whether you’re with your family or friends. P.S. This is also a Wisconsin bar – go Badgers!

Sapori Trattoria – Cozy Italian Spot

Sapori Trattoria should steal that slogan from Olive Garden (you know the one – when you’re here, you’re family). You truly feel that way at this cozy Italian spot. I say start with the burrata appetizer to share and then order to your heart’s desire. You can’t go wrong!

Barcocina – Modern Mexican

Barcocina not only has an amazing patio, but offers delicious Mexican fare. Whether you choose to do a weekend bottomless brunch or head here for a casual marg with some tacos – you’ll leave full and probably slightly tipsy.

Italy and classic car lovers unite!! The @coppamil Italy and classic car lovers unite!! The @coppamilanosanremo is an official experience you won’t want to miss.

What started in 1906 as a speed rally from Milan to Sanremo, today has shifted into a precision rally. Attend as either a driver/co-driver or a guest (like me!) and you’ll have a blast. The teams drive through Lombardy, Piedmont, and wrap up in Liguria.

So, if you love the idea of vintage cars winding through scenic Italian landscapes, you may want to look into joining next year’s rally (or at least seeing it it may pass through your town).

How to apply for the permesso di soggiorno in Ital How to apply for the permesso di soggiorno in Italy!!

Moving to Italy sounds great (and it is!) but before you can truly enjoy your new life abroad, you have to take care of some housekeeping. The first up, and one of the most important tasks, is filing for your Permesso di soggiorno (residency permit) so you can be cleared to legally live in Italy.

The process is a pain. Depending on which city you live in likely determines how long processing this will take. For example, I’ve heard horror stories about the wait times in Florence. But Milan, despite being a large city, seems to process these fairly efficient.

It’s your first introduction to Italian bureaucracy and the most important thing is completing this WITHIN 8 DAYS OF YOUR ARRIVAL IN ITALY!

📌Save this guide for your future move to Italy so you don’t miss a single step.

I had a new “first” as an American living in Italy I had a new “first” as an American living in Italy this week (and it was a bit of a culture shock for me) - the condo assembly. 😅

I truly wish I could have had a secret camera in the room. As an American, my understanding is most condo associations elect of a board of directors to make most day-to-day decisions. Of course if there is a bigger decision, the condos vote (usuall 1 vote for household). Well, that process is very different in Italy!

Here, the amount of votes are determined by condo size. And everyone, I mean EVERYONE, seems to have a (loud) opinion on every topic. My imagination of a calm meeting amongst neighbors was quickly replaced by reality.

Anyways, I love living in Italy but these experiences make me laugh at how one thing can differ so much one place to another.

Hidden costs of owning a car in Italy. 🚙🙃 I was s Hidden costs of owning a car in Italy. 🚙🙃

I was soooo thrilled after getting my license in Italy! Then, I was humbled veryyy quick by all of the beauracracy and costs that come along with it.

My biggest shock was perhaps the Area C payments (despite being a resident within Area C) and only receiving a discount for a limited number of entries a year. 🫠 Why…

Do any of these shock you? Or are there any other costs I have still overlooked (keep in mind as a foreigner it’s hard to know sometimes what to pay - like this bollo!).

Save this post if are in the market for buying a car in italy and all of the costs attached to buying a car in iraly. 😵‍💫
